Phew! Here it is...

Now that the news is out... I can finally share what I've blogged over the past few months. Phew... I don't have to feel like I'm lying anymore.

This is a little late but there's good reason for that!

It was the day we found out I was pregnant.

2 tests that didn't work at all, 1 that showed the cross very (and I emphasize very) vaguely, and 2 positive digital tests later...Happy 1st Father's Day to my beloved husband Jason! If we had known I would have gotten him something besides pee on a stick to celebrate this memorable day. His brother (who was the 1st person we told about 10 minutes after confirming the digital tests) was nice enough to call Jason to congratulate him from the backseat of our car on our way to a bbq with my family and close family friends. Walking into the bbq, we discussed having Jason drop the news randomly but there was never the right moment. Being only 4 weeks pregnant, not saying anything turned out to be the right thing to do and we decided to wait a bit before telling anyone.

Week 4:  Pretty basic so far. Constant headache and backache, little nibbles of cramps. I get little waves of nausea which I'm hoping is all I get of that (Ha!-I'm sure this is highly unlikely). It's only the second day of us knowing. I can't believe the little peanut is growing rapidly. I read what the baby's development over the next few weeks is going to be like and I am shocked! That's awesome!

So I have a few challenges at this immediate moment.
1. Caffeine. 2nd day, I drank half a coke in 4 hours. Going to have to cut that out.
2. What in the world do pregnant women eat? Hopefully by the next post I write, I am able to figure this out.
3. I have to keep this a secret for another 8 weeks?! Oy vey.

Since I can't post this for another 8 weeks, I'll just save it in my back pocket for later.

This, my friends, is why I haven't been drinking wine. Mom, if you read this...you should have caught this one pretty quickly!
